Take a tour of this contemporary London home

Conservatory

After careful consideration, the owners  of this west London home managed to find the perfect balance between creating a contemporary haven of glamour and ensuring a practical family space.

Kitchen breakfast bar

A central kitchen island provides a convenient space for both cooking and informal dining. Various moods can be created with lighting, from bright lights for cooking to soft atmospheric dining light.

Kitchen sink area

The kitchen/dining room is kept light and bright with white cabinetry, stainless-steel accessories and glass sheling helping to reflect light around the room. Practicality and style are balanced in the kitchen with glass storage jars providing a decorative feature.

Neutral living room

These large sash windows flood the bright and neutral living room with light. Simple silk curtains and wallpaper help accent the decorative cornicing around the room, while a big, relaxed sofa makes for perfect family living.

Living room fireplace

A traditional fireplace takes centre stage in the living room, with a classic wall mirror bouncing light around the room. A pale colour palette is accented by a dark-wood coffee table adding depth to the room.

Home office

Floating shelves provide invaluable storage for books and boxfiles in this home office, while a contemporary wicker chair is accented with a fuchsia pink cushion for a flash of colour. Photos and objects in sleek box frames add a personal touch.

Bathroom

A starfish collage brings a touch of the seaside to the bathroom. A white roll-top bath creates a focal point in the room, accented by neutral accessories and other beach finds.

Bedroom

A modern, dark-stained, oak four-poster bed is the main feature in the bedroom contrasting with the colour scheme and soft furnishings for a real statement. Dark side tables match the bed for added impact, while stunning glass table lamps finish off the look.

Bedroom seating

Large feature windows line one wall of the bedroom, and simple fabric blinds diffuse the light creating a soft and relaxed atmosphere.

Girl's bedroom

A neutral colour palette in this girl's bedroom is accented with colourful soft furnishings and accessories, and a  bright red headboard. A personalised letter sits above the bed for added personality.
